Game of Thumbs · last updated 7 September 2026
The short version: you can play the whole game without telling us anything about yourself. If you ask for the daily reminder, we keep your email address until you tell us to stop, and one tap in any email deletes it.
There is no account and no login. Your progress — your runs, your streak, your Collection — lives
in your own browser and never leaves it. Your browser mints a random six-character code such as
AB3K9X; that code is what a leaderboard row belongs to.
Board records are deleted automatically after 400 days without play.
If — and only if — you ask for it, we keep:
-120, not a location — so the mail arrives in the evening where you are rather than in the middle of your night.Nothing is sent until you click the link in the confirmation email. If you never click it, the address is deleted within 48 hours.
Stopping. Every email carries an unsubscribe link, and your mail app's own unsubscribe button works too. Either one deletes the record outright — there is no suppressed, dormant copy of you left behind. That is also how you exercise a right to erasure; it is the same button.
We do not sell or share your data, and there is no advertising on this site. Two services process it on our behalf: Vercel hosts the site and its database, and Resend delivers the email. Thumbnails are loaded directly from YouTube and are never copied to our servers.
Counting visits. We use Vercel Web Analytics to see how many people arrive and which link sent them. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and builds no profile of you: it records the page, the referring site and a country, and nothing that identifies a person. Your player code is never sent to it. That is why this site has no cookie banner — there is no cookie to ask you about.
It also counts three things you do here, so we can tell how many people who arrive actually play: that a run was started, that a run was finished, and that someone asked for the daily reminder. The finished-run count carries your score out of five and nothing else. None of the three carries your player code, your email address, or anything that could be traced back to you, and they are counted as totals rather than kept against a person.
If you are in the EU or UK, you may ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. For the reminder list, unsubscribing does all of the deleting immediately. For a board record, tell us your player code and we will remove it. The legal basis for the reminder is your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
